Bangkok
Right, been in BKK for like a week, but life is a lot more hectic here than on the islands. No time for as many updates.
Been to MBK, a massive mall which is filled with loads of stalls , about 2m² each. Its indescribable how mnay shops where in this mall, it was basically a maze. Got a couple souvenirs etc.
Spent alot of my time in the bars with the lads, so have played alot of darts, getting pretty good.
Otherstuffs gone on, cba with this blognow ha

So woke up in a daze, still steaming and having to check out and whatnot. Fucking thais hit me up with loads of sneaky wee charges but i was too hungover to give a freak. 30 mins taxi ride to the peir, then got a ferry. I slept for most of this, and also on the coach from the airport. The bus arrived 10minutes after my plane had left so everyone had to wait an extra 3 hours. I finally got into Bangkok about 7. The city is crazzy. Mission to find leon’s appartment but got their eventually. Met Mook, who is very nice aswell.

Well last night was a blur. Had a flyer for a deep house night so i decided this would be a good place to seek some cool chat. Didn’t realise it was on the other side of the island though, so 30mins later I arrive. Walk in and it’s semi-busy. After chatting to a couple people I realise that every person there is russian. So have a couple drinks and thought i’d hitch a ride into the town center and see if there where any other parties. THis massive fat russian gives me a lift and we grab a couple beers and whatnot on the way. I somehow end up at a rasta bar and meet a couple of dutch people, an american and whatever. We leave here in search of bigger and better things. I have no concept of what happened after this and where these guys went. But I do know one of them drove me nearly home then we drove all the way back into town and i got a taxi home. No idea.

Managed to complete every aspect of he course first time except the balls.impossible. now I’m in my room, wondering where da party at.

Started the day hung over to freak. So a couple beers by the pool was the obvious choice. Went to meet tez at reggae village then headed to graduation. All the students where well sound and we all ended up going to an after party at Rasta home. Got even more steaming/ faded…

We headed I to the market at thong sala. It was so weird, street vendors selling different meats and juices, just a taste of what I’m promised in Bangkok though. We got some food and ate on the peir. After this I had a go on the moped, which is easy so I’ll probably rent my own one.
We one to get a Thai massage after we had eaten( no happy ending haha) then we met cellio and his wife for a Thai style bbq. Early night for me I think

Yesterday chilled at the pool till about 5 then went to wipeout to chill for a bit too. After this, we went to OK Bar, which is the best place to watch the sunset. It has a little pier and beds which you can chill on. It was also Mari’s leaving do, so got quite drunk. Then about 10pm we headed up to The Jam. After getting pretty steaming here as well went to the pirate bar. An after party type on the beach, There were a couple people from the Jam there and some sound russians. Somehow managed to hustle a lift home which was only a 10 min walk but still

Didn’t really do much today, it was a bit rainy so just chilled at the hotel. At about 6 as the sun was setting I went for a wee swim in the sea which is just down the steps from my hotel. about to go for a bbq across the street. Then might head into town and see what’s going on

Jam#2
Don’t really know what happened last night. Went up to Roberts bar, The Jam, where musicians can just jump on stage and play whenever. I ended up just getting extremely drunk chatting shite to everyone. After this we went to an after party in a house it the forest. I dont remember too much, just chilling in the pool. We left here about 5am and I fell off the mo-ped only scuffed my knee luckily though.
Spent the whole day in bed, absolute killer hangover, really only got energized about midnight when i went to the pool and had a swim. It was magical as a tropical storm raged about me.

Koh Pangnan
Slept till about 12, showered, etc then went to have breakfast across the road. Chicken Thai pan, a strange noodle dish with vegetables- quite good. After this we went down to the wipeout course which looked awsome, i hope i get the chance to do it later in the week but i didnt want to drown right then. Then we went to the chill hotel and met Eric and his wife. A beautiful private beach area.
Just chillin’ by the pool now, more updates on their way

Jam#1
Started off a few beers at Leon’s local. Before long everyone was steaming and L and mates playing music. Turns out there was some Harington Hunting Club thing going on at the same time so there where loads of oaps dancing with each other, trying to pull each other’s birds.
After this we zoomed down to a beach bar where Leon and I had a couple more beers.
Then we went on a half hour trek to find the half moon party. After much time and an eventual 1000batts entry we got in. It was filled with tidies and every one was in UV. It was only here that we realized that we had spent all our money.
After about 30mins of atm hunting turns out my card had been blocked. So we headed home, trying to look on the bright side, e.g. at least we didn't die in a road accident (which we saw)

First impressions
Damn it’s hot. Leaving the ‘comfort’ of the air conditioned airports and airplanes I come to realise the sheer heat. When I’m out of shade I find it hard to keep my eyes open, and even sitting in koh samui airport entrance which is relatively shaded I’m still sweating. I am watching the people I have been with the whole journey go off on their own ways, unlikely to meet them again or know their story. Waiting for a bus, it seems that’s been my life for the last day and a half, waiting and travelling. It’s a miracle my phones not out of battery. Kinda looking forward to this ferry trip though, might actually get to see Sonera of Thailand rather than runways and glass buildings. Till the next waiting station
